Notary Public

The Columbus Bar Association is the official provider of Notary Public in Franklin County. Last year, more than 4,000 people became notaries via the Columbus Bar Association Notary Registration Service.

A Notary Public is a public officer appointed under authority of state law with power to administer oaths, certify affidavits and take acknowledgments. No person may be appointed to public office in Franklin County, Ohio unless he or she is 18 years of age or over and is a county resident.

If you are a resident of Ohio, 18 years of age or older and would like more information about becoming a notary or would like to receive a notary registration packet from the Columbus Bar Association, please see below.
